Biography
Shunsaku Nii received his degree of Doctor of Science from
the
Department of Mathematics of the
Graduate School of Science at
Kyoto University in March of 1995 under the direction of Hiroshi Kokubu.
From 1994 to 1996 he was a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for Promotion of
Science. From 1996 to 2002 he was a Research Associate at the
Department of Mathematics of the
Faculty of Science at
Saitama University. During that
period, from 1997 to 1999, he was a Visiting Researcher of the
Division of Applied Mathematics at
Brown University. He has held a position of
Associate Professor of the Faculty of
Mathematics at Kyushu University
since 2002.
