Kyushu University Leading PhD Program in Mathematics for Key Technologies is designed to educate doctors in mathematics, referred to as "Mathematics Navigators", who will lead the development of future key technologies. Using abstraction and generalization skills based on modern mathematics, and capability to fully utilize modern computers, they will analyze actual data and phenomena, and construct mathematical models for solving problems. They will thereby lead research teams with strong leadership.

Program Contents
- In the second year of the doctoral course, all students are to participate in an internship abroad for about 6 months.
- Industrial researchers join the Defense Committee of the program.
- Students are to attend MMA training lectures.
- Students are to attend Statistics & Probabilities and Numerical & Algebraic Calculation classes.
- Students are to study practical English using English learning systems (on the web).
- Short-term stay abroad (in the second year of the master course).
- Participation in a study group and a collaborative research with industry.
- Students can receive a scholarship.
- Students can receive financial support for their research activities.
- After completion of the course, a completion certificate of the program is conferred.
